FOKKER 70

This model has been commissioned by an overseas client & will be designed & built entirely from scratch over an 18 month period. At 1/6 scale, the overall length will be 5.15 meter (203″) with a wingspan of 4.68 meters (184″).  To be powered by a pair of 195mm Schubeler EDF units, we are tasked with building the base airframe as lights as is safely possible due to the weight of the batteries required for these large EDF systems. The entire model will be of moulded epoxy glass/carbon construction using sandwich techniques & vacuum bagging wherever possible in order to produce light but stiff components.
